Early February is an exciting time of year when the famed Chicago Auto Show opens its doors for nine days. The show, which began in 1901, is being held at McCormick Place from February 11-20 and has added 55,000 sq ft to its floor space to accommodate more vehicles and more attendees. Our sales team at Bedford Nissan is anticipating the unveiling of the new Nissan NV Cargo X.
For our customers who enjoy off-roading, this new Nissan NV Cargo X is a go-anywhere, do-anything rig. It’s been built with a 5.0-liter Cummins turbo diesel V8 engine from a Nissan Titan XD, which will produce 310 horsepower and 555 lb-ft of torque. From there, it was optimized with a four-wheel drive setup from a Nissan Titan XD with custom lifted front suspension and new wheels with 37-inch General Grabber 3X mud terrain tires. The new Nissan NV Cargo X now has 22 inches of ground clearance, versus the 8.1 inches for the stock van.
If its size doesn’t amaze you, perhaps its upgraded features will. The Nissan NV Cargo X is equipped with a 10,000-pound winch, new tube bumpers with functional skid plates, and additional LED lighting. And all off-roaders know to carry supplies such as a full-size spare wheel and tire, a jack, a portable welder, and other tools for mishaps on the trail.
For now, the Nissan NV Cargo X is a concept vehicle, but should be a showstopper in Chicago.
